Work
(always in progress)
I contribute to our community as a creative strategist – understanding the value of leadership, collaboration, and communication.
Designers have a specific skillset - we are visual problem solvers and storytellers but we also have the mindset to understand our users, think at a systems level, and engage in positive social change to create environments that feel good, do good.
The Art of Storytelling
Design has always been about finding solutions. Designers are trained and expected to make good decisions based on empathy and judgment, honed through constant learning and practice. As this is the foundation of good design and this is what keeps our visual assets engaging to our audience.
GUIDELINES SET BY BRAND STANDARDS HELPS US PUSH OUR VALUE-DRIVEN MESSAGE CONSISTENTLY ACROSS ALL PLATFORMS.
The tools of storytelling
There is an abundance of tools in the market for visual design communication, no matter what the tool, the message and visuals must be created with intent and purpose.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging
Discussions about inclusion and equity shed light on how to remove barriers to make access to opportunities equal.
The design field has a unique position to embrace inclusivity by empowering underrepresented groups to enter the design field. Diversity of thought – experience, perspective, and creativity – leads to innovation. All design should be accountable for producing positive social change. Empathizing with your end-user will help create a product that has brand equity - authentic meaning and value.

Design can ignite meaningful and sustainable change only when it builds from a collaborative environment where a multitude of voices and experiences participate in the development of design solutions.

Many of our institutional spaces lack a holistic representation of the community it serves. A research-based review of archival materials allows us to create designs that mix contemporary and historic imagery, textures, and patterns.
